Capt. Bernie Frueh has been a U.S.C.G. certified guide since 2005. He has over 30 years of experience fishing across the United States, from Minnesota to Canada, Wisconsin, Ohio, North Dakota, Illinois, the West Coast, and the Gulf of Mexico. Captain Frueh is extremely enthusiastic about the sport and has a vast fund of knowledge that will make sure you hook some great fish and have fun doing it.
Even though Capt. Bernie began his fishing career as a bass tournament angler, and then a Lake Michigan salmon charter captain based out of Waukegan, IL, saltwater fishing is his true passion. From catering to his guests’ needs to preparing all meals and providing all lodging, Capt. Bernie loves everything about his job, including the deep sea fishing and, most importantly, his guests.
Capt. Bernie has fished all over the country, but he quickly learned Venice, Louisiana, is an unparalleled fishing metropolis. Venice is one of the premier fishing destinations in the world due to the number of big fish and abundance of fishing spots.
Ten years ago, Captain Bernie left his boat in Venice on a permanent basis and now calls the Delta his home waters.
